Red and white archipelago
Garuda di dadaku ♥

A tumblog created to raise awareness of what our nation has to offer our fellow Indonesians.

This blog is run by a 17-year old Indonesian of Minang-Sunda-Aceh-Jawa (but likes to consider self more as a Minang) origin who is fluent at speaking Indonesian, although to be quite frank, not much of an expert in writing Indonesian in a proper manner.
However, this fact will never be a reason to not love and be passionate about Indonesia wholeheartedly, because Indonesia is the best country in the world ♥
I dare you state otherwise. Your argument will be invalid :)

Murid peserta Ujian Nasional tingkat sekolah dasar tahun 2011 menyeberangi Sungai Ciawi sambil digendong sukarelawan menuju sekolah di Kp. Peer, Desa Mekarsari, Kec. Pameungpeuk, Kab. Garut, Selasa (10/5). Jembatan gantung yang terputus akibat terjangan banjir bandang pada Jumat (6/5) lalu menyebabkan mereka harus menyeberangi sungai sambil mempertaruhkan nyawa agar bisa mengikuti ujian.

The Indonesian Flag: The red stands for courage, while the white stands for purity. The red represents human’s body or physical life, while white represents human’s soul or spiritual life. Together they stand for a complete human being.

Jadilah saja dirimu, sebaik-baiknya dirimu sendiri.

Has anyone else heard about the soon-to-be cinematic taxation law in Indonesia? Meaning no more imported movies. I understand that this is a patriotic blog that supposedly should somehow support this movement by the government as it somewhat benefits the country’s economy and the Indonesian cinematography. But I’m sorry to say, I could not contemplate any sensible reason that makes this acceptable to be approved.

First of all, we are not a communist country. In fact, communism is far from being legal. Recently we were named one of the most democratic countries in the world. So why does this not apply? Putting this law is similar to like adopting communism and slowly transforming this country into a communist country.

Anyway, what do you think? For further argumentation, you could read this article: http://bit.ly/i8VYEt
